In case you haven't heard, we are less than two weeks away from the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. As excited as we are about it, we can't help but look to the future here at BMW of Anchorage. Because for everything that our favorite automaker will be unveiling over in Germany, we still have to wait until January for them to pull back the curtain on the BMW M4.

In case you're wondering why we're counting down the days, allow us to elaborate.

From what we've heard and seen so far, the production version of the BMW M4 will take the stage in both coupe and convertible form. Both models will boast slotted front-fascia vents, an edgy seat of side-view mirrors and a sleek, bulging hood to boot. And while the convertible will come with a retractable hard top, we're still waiting for it to shed the camouflage so we can get a clearer picture of what it will have to offer.

Speaking of bulging hoods, both models will come standard with all-new 3.0-liter inline-six twin-turbocharged engines and will reportedly deliver up to 414 horsepower. We've also heard that the M4 will come standard with a dual-clutch transmission and no option for a manual transmission. Then again, we still have a ways to go before all these specs are set in stone at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.

Until then, feel free to tide yourself over with a good old-fashioned test drive in one of the new and used cars at our dealership here in Anchorage, AK. Trust us, it helps with the wait.
