When we say SUV, many of you already can envision what we're talking about. In 1999 BMW launched its first kind of utility vehicle, but while they do in fact have utility, the automaker wanted to focus on other aspects drivers can enjoy about these rides. That's where SAV comes in.
What does that stand for? Sport Activity Vehicle. It includes the three new BMW models; the X1, X3, and X5. Today, we're going to discuss the latter.
The third -generation model is set to arrive in the BMW of Anchorage showroom, the BMW X5 has been the standard of luxury, utility, and sportiness all rolled in to one complete package. Now, there will be a new offering that only enhances its sterling reputation.
The X5 sDrive35i will give drivers a rear-wheel drive option, the first of its kind on the X5 range. It's sure to get many drivers in Anchorage, AK excited, as will the X5 xDrive35i which uses a 3.0-liter TwinPower inline-six engine. For those who really crave displacement, there's the X5 xDrive50i. It utilizes 4.4-liter TwinPower turbo V8 engine.
The highly-anticipated models will be in our showroom by Quarter 4 of this year. That means October. We can also expect the X5 xDrive35d, the diesel-powered model to arrive then, too.
