If you keep up with the latest news here on BMW of Anchorage's blog, you recall various mentions of the new 4 Series. The latest member of the 4 Series family is the 4 Series Gran Coupe, which was recently unveiled by the Bavarian automaker.

The Gran Coupe is a four-door variant of the 4 Series, which recently replaced the 3 Series in showrooms. The Gran Coupe features the same wheelbase, length and width as its two-door sibling, however its roofline is 0.5 inches greater to allow for extra headroom for passengers in the rear seats.

The 4 Series Gran Coupe will be available in 428i and 428i xDrive, which will be outfitted with a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine and eight-speed automatic transmission, which produces 240 horsepower and  zip from zero-to-sixty in 5.7 seconds. The 435i variant will feature a 3.0-lityer turbocharged inline-six power plant which churns out 300 horsepower with a 0-60 mph time of 4.9 seconds.

At the Geneva Auto Show in March, the 4 Series Gran Coupe is expected to make its official debut, and also make an appearance at the New York Auto show in April before it joins the new BMW lineup in dealerships this summer. The 2015 BMW 428i Gran Coupe will begin at $41,225 while the 428i xDrive comes in at $43,225 and the 435i starts at $46,725.
