The newest BMI i3 starred alongside former Today Show cohosts Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel in one of the more amusing commercials that aired during yesterday's Super Bowl.

The cohosts found themselves questioning the level of technology in the all-electric i3 in the same way they pondered the Internet and the concept of email back in 1994. Take a look:

The BMW i3's electric engine, much to Gumbel's confusion, is in fact located in the rear of the vehicle, where it delivers 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of instant torque. The model, which was built in a wind-powered factory, was crafted with carbon fiber reinforced plastic and features interior sustainable materials, in addition to being spectacularly luxurious-looking.

If you're intrigued by the electric i3 or you're looking into a more efficient car, ask the team at BMW of Anchorage about models in our new BMW inventory or visit our Anchorage, AK dealership to see for yourself.
