BMW's 328i Sports Wagon has a sports car's soul, but with room for a lot of junk in the trunk. Under the hood a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine gets the wagon from 0-60 mph in six seconds, generating 240 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The eight-speed automatic transmission is responsive and encourages drivers to engage with steering-wheel mounting paddle shifters.
But it's behind the seats where the Sports Wagon distinguishes itself. There's 27.5 cubic feet of storage behind the rear seat, while folding down that rear seat creates an X3-comparable 61 cubic feet of space.
