Utilizing BMW's eDrive technology, the i8 strikes the perfect balance between the two by pairing an all-electric motor to a powerful TwinPower Turbo engine. Don't expect the i8's driving experience to make any compromises though. With the ability to reach speeds of up to 155 mph, this year's i8 boasts a full 357-horspower under its hood. Not only that, but rated at 76 MPGe, the BMW i8 takes only a short two and a half hours to reach a full charge.
