Last fall, The BMW Concept X2 made a world-debut at the Paris Motor Show. Now it has arrived in the U.S., making its American-premiere this month at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The distinctive, sporty and tough Concept X2 emits a vibrant energy even when it’s at rest.

There’s little doubt that the Concept X2 is a BMW, with its familiar front apron, large center air intake and signature kidney grille. But the elongated Hofmeister kink starts farther forward than usual, which draws attention to the C-pillar -- into which a blue-and-white BMW is nested.

The Concept X2 boasts a host of new design features that include ultra-thin headlights with blue “X” accents and a sporty, aggressive roofline that continues all the way to the back, unlike on other X models where the roof slants down. Offering an attractive mix of a coupe-like silhouette and robust X appearance, this energetic vehicle is engineered for your driving enjoyment.

BMW expects that the X2 will launch in 2018.
