If you ask an enthusiast what makes an Ultimate Driving Machine so ultimate, chances are you’ll get a lot of different answers. Driving is subjective, after all. Some will point to the BMW M3 and M4 as their favorites, while others will cite the 1M Coupe and 2002 Turbo as their favorites. Today, however, there’s one vehicle that everyone can agree is a great primer of what a performance BMW should be: the 2017 M2.
Recently, Autoblog put out an article highlighting what makes it one of their favorite modern sports cars. The main draw of the new M2, according to them, is its authenticity and balanced performance. While this model isn’t as powerful as some of its M performance siblings, the readily available torque from makes it a blast to drive no matter how hard you’re pressing on the accelerator pedal. The standard manual transmission doesn’t hurt either.
